New Student Registration

Registration for the 2023-24 School Year

Now Accepting Registrations! Please note that returning students do not need to register again.


Requirements
  • Students must be 5 years-old on or before September 1, 2023.
  • For the neighborhood program, families must reside in the neighborhood attendance boundaries
  • For the Regional Gifted Center, families must have been offered and accepted a seat in the program

Registration Instructions

Step 1 - Download Registration Forms
If you have difficulty downloading forms from the following links, please try the files towards the bottom of this page.
  • CPS School Enrollment Form
  • CPS Request for Emergency and Health Information
  • CPS Home Language Survey
  • CPS Race and Ethnicity Survey
  • State of Illinois Certificate of Child Health Examination
  • CPS Application for Bus Service (Regional Gifted Center and Deaf and Hard of Hearing students only)
  • Friends of Bell Student Information Authorization Form

Step 2 - Complete Downloaded Registration Forms
  • Option A: CPS forms may be filled out electronically using Adobe Acrobat Reader, Preview, or Chrome (not Drive) and saved for uploading in step 4
  • Option B: CPS forms may be printed, filled out, scanned, and uploaded in step 4
  • For the State of Illinois Certificate of Child Health Examination form, medical professionals may provide physical examination and immunization records in a different format. These may be substituted for the state form. This form may be submitted during the online registration process or by the first week of school in September.

Step 3 - Prepare Other Documents Needed for Online Form Submission
  • Proof of age document (birth certificate only, passport no longer accepted)
  • Two proofs of address documents (current utility bill, Illinois driver's license, Illinois identification card, deed, etc.)
  • Take photos or scan documents for uploading

Step 4 - Complete the Online Form
  • This form may be turned off periodically while registrations are processed and prepared for in-person verification. Please check back on the following day.
  • A Google account will be required to complete the online form
  • Be sure downloaded registration forms are completed and supporting documents are prepared before starting online form
  • Go to bit.ly/Bell2023-24Registration
  • Upload completed registration forms
  • Upload proof of age and current address documents
  • Be sure to complete all four sections and hit submit at the end

Step 5 - In-Person Verification
  • If you enroll before June 9, you may come in on April 26, May 10, or May 24 from 9 to 10:30 AM for in-person verification.
  • If you are submitting an application for bus services, you must complete your in-person verification before May 19.
  • If you enroll over the summer, AP Kosko will send an email with summer dates for in-person verification.
  • Bring original proof of age document for verification
  • Submitted documents will be available for signature

Step 6 - Fee Payment
  • School fee information may be accessed at bell.cps.edu/school-fees.html

Sibling Registration for the 2023-2024 School Year
​Invited siblings are encouraged to enroll in August. Please check the Bell website over the summer for those registration dates. If you are unable to come in on August, you may register on the first day of school. Again, please check the website over the summer for updates.
