Every year Bell School applies for a grant to provide tuition free programming after school through the Out of School Time Program in CPS. This funding supports programs such as Chess Club, Guitar Club, MARS Tasks, Gaming Club and Homework Help. Offerings can vary from year to year based on funding, but these are some of our longtime favorites.
Bell Girl Scouts is an all parent volunteer program. The Girls Scout mission is to “build girls of courage, confidence and character to make the world a better place.”
We are always looking for volunteers to help with our troops. In addition, if your daughter is in a grade that does not have a troop, we would be happy to help you start up a troop. The Girl Scout Council has many great resources and all the troop leaders at Bell can help you get started. If your daughter is interested in joining one of our troops, or if you are interested in being a troop leader, please contact Mara O'Brien at email@example.com.
Starting in 5th grade, students are able to audition for the school choir. The group performs at events throughout the school year. For information, contact Bell's music teacher, Mx. Goldberg.
Girls on the Run
Girls On The Run is a volunteer teacher and parent run program for girls starting in 3rd through 8th grade. The GOTR mission is to inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running. Information will be available to students about how to register for the spring program via the morning announcements in early January. You may also contact Ms. Abts with any questions about the program or visit the GOTR website.
Musical/Talent Show/Spring Fine Arts Performance
Each spring in alternating years Bell School produces either a Talent Show and every year a Spring Fine Arts Performance. Students will be notified of audition opportunities.
