Please join us! The Bell School Local School Council (LSC) meetings are listed on this page. Please confirm with the school calendar for call in and/or location information. The meetings are open to the public.
The Local School Council consists of 6 parents, 2 teachers, 1 staff member, 2 community members, 1 student, and the principal of the school. Council members are elected by members of their peer group on the second semester Report Card Pick-Up Day in April of every even-numbered year. Parent, community, teacher and staff representatives serve a two-year term beginning July 1 after each election and ending June 30, two years later.
The LSC encourages the participation of teachers, parents, students, and neighbors in the important decisions it makes. Meetings are generally open to audience participation, however, there is a designated time for public comment during each meeting. If you wish to address the LSC on a particular topic, please email email@example.com by noon of the day before the meeting. Each request should include your name and contact information along with the topic.
The LSC bulletin board in the main office has the latest information and meeting schedules, minutes of previous meetings, agenda for the upcoming meeting, contacts, the list of LSC committees, and other relevant documents. Meetings in 2023-24 will be in person at Bell. All members of the Bell community are welcome to attend. When possible, meetings will be streamed online for parents and community members to join remotely. A link or phone number listed on the agenda that will be in the PUBLIC LSC folder prior to the meeting or on the school calendar.
The Bell LSC has two standing committees: Budget and Strategic Planning. Meeting dates for those committees are available on the School Calendar and are open to the public.

Agendas and Minutes
The agenda for the upcoming LSC meeting is available at least two days prior to the meeting in the public LSC PUBLIC FOLDER. The agenda will have the meeting information and if the meeting will be streamed, the agenda will have call in information. LSC minutes from previous meetings are also available in the Public Folder. Note minutes are added after they are approved at the subsequent meeting.
